Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

As a psychotherapist,  I help you explore and understand patterns in your thinking and in relationships with others and with yourself  that may be causing you pain or making you feel stuck. I help you find your own solutions instead of giving you advice. I believe if you are given a safe space to be heard you will find your own healing.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you see the connection between your thoughts, feelings and actions. It is a practical approach with psychoeducation to help you understand why you are experiencing anxiety in your body and gives you the tools you need to quickly manage and reduce your symptoms

Nutrition

As there is a strong link between mental health and diet, and after spending years working with clients with eating difficulties; I became a qualified Nutrition Health Coach so can offer you support in achieving your health goals. I only offer nutrition health coaching alongside therapy and not on its own.

I can help with supporting you with foods that can improve your mental health and sleep. For weight loss, I specialise in the Ketogenic diet and wrote a book which became a #1 Bestseller on Amazon. I give you a free copy as a welcome gift if you have decided this is the right approach for you.

My successful approach includes helping you understand the psychology behind eating to identify your triggers and food addictions including overeating and binge eating to help you understand your cravings so you can finally break free.

If you struggle with binge eating or overeating I combine psychotherapy with eating psychology and nutrition to help you overcome your challenges. Change is possible.

I can also help you if you just don’t know what to eat or you want support on eating more healthily without dieting. I specialise in inflammation, gut health and immunity. As well as foods that boost your mental health.

 

My Approach

I offer a safe non-judgemental space to work through your difficulties or your child’s. I offer strategies and tools to quickly reduce distressing symptoms in order to provide relief from emotional pain and physiological discomfort.

I provide non-diagnostic specialist assessments for children and adults using various screening tools for anxiety, depression, obsessive and compulsive behaviours (OCD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This will not be a diagnosis but will highlight any difficulties so I can tailor the therapy to meet your needs or your child's needs. If you want me to, I can also make referrals to specialist services so you can receive further specialist support.

Availability:
I offer Video therapy/coaching only using Zoom from 2pm Monday to Friday (except Wednesdays).

To help as many people as I can, I now offer a limited weekday therapy/coaching session at 9pm for adults who work late, on shifts or for parents who would like to access their own coaching/therapy once their children are settled or asleep.

My Therapy/Coaching sessions are weekly and last for 50 minutes for adults, 40 minutes for children (aged 8 and upwards) and 30 minutes for children aged 7). Limited fortnightly sessions are available.
